Redken for Men
Soooo....in case anyone's wondering. I'm sure you're all dying to know this. Ready? Anxious? Pro Cuts at Danforth & Sante Fe has their Redken for Men products on sale right now. You can take your choice of any shampoo and any styling products for $14.95, and if you're lucky like me and get the girl that doesn't know how to ring up the sale, you just get charged $13.93, tax included for both products. Pretty good deal, considering my "Get Relaxed" shampoo was originally $9.95 and the "Work Hard" paste was $12.95. Good deal, galore. Save on, saver. | | |
| So, some of you know that my accident has been revealing some neck/upper back issues here in the past 3-4 weeks. I had some pain the 2-3 weeks after the accident but not much and was trying to wait until I had a vehicle so that I could have transportation to where I wanted to get treatment (63rd & Independence in OKC). The pain got pretty intense and I started treatments February 20th...luckily got a car February 22nd. Anyway, today they started me on a new set of treatments. They told me they were going to put electrodes on my back, do an ultra-sound and then do massage thearpy. We started with 4 electrode things on my back and the girl told me to tell her when I could feel tingling in them. I did and then she told me to let her know when the intensity level was good for me. Well, I've never had anything like that done before and so really didn't have any idea what was good for me. I let her raise up the intensity some and then told her I thought it was good there. For 5-10 minutes she did the ultra-sound thing and then told me she would leave the electrodes on me for 15 minutes. As she laid the warm towels over my back and shut that door, I had no idea what I was about to be hit with. For the next 15 minutes, my body laid there writhing and jumping from pain. Don't get me wrong...it felt some good, but mostly it just felt like a zillion needles stabbing my back. Pretty sure the intensity level was too high. I mean, let's face it people, I'm a big guy, and there were literally times when it would get so strong I felt like my body was gonna be lifted on the table. Crazy stuff. Then she came in after what felt like 15 hours instead of 15 minutes and gave me a massage. If you know me at all, you'd know I'm not a fan of massages. Frankly, I think they're painful. 3 more of these treatments, and then if I still don't feel much better the doctor wants to do an MRI. I hate this whole situation. | | |
| So, today I was given babysitting duty. From 7:30 a.m. until just a few minutes ago, about 10:30 p.m., I was responsible for my nieces. Scary, people. Truly frightening. We went to the Oklahoma Aquarium today in Jenks and the girls def enjoyed themselves. Celicia wasn't so keen on it and kept saying, "Don't want it." However, Cristina probably would have gotten in with the fish if she could have. All in all, good times. I just had my camera phone with me so they're not all that great, but some turned out pretty good. Enjoy! | | |
| Okay, so it's 12:30 a.m. and I don't know what the crap I'm still doing awake. Not only am I still awake, I'm still at my parents' house because I came over to visit them. Not only am I still awake, and still at my parents' house, but when I get home I plan on watching Monday's episode of 24. I didn't watch it Monday because of Fiona/Coldplay and I wanna know, I need to know, what's happened with the Suvarov's motorcade. Okay, so by the time I get myself home, watch 24, and get into bed, I'm gonna get about 5 hours of sleep. Joy for me. And tomorrow evening, I get to spend time with my co-workers going to a play. Joy. As if I don't spend enough time with them already. It could be fun though. We'll see.

10 Things People May Not Know About Me:
- I don't speak Spanish. Seriously, you probably know as much or more than I do.
- I was born in Guthrie and have never left. How sick is that?
- I went through a ridiculous Airwalk shoe fetish during high school. (Still have my favorite pair---green, olive, tan suede. You can bet your bottom dollar when I have those on that my feet are smiling with un-healthy amounts of glee.)
- I have had the same best friend since I was like 5 years old. To this day, we pretty much have no-limits discussions.
- You can rarely catch me watching more than 2-3 hours of TV a week.
- I'm lonely living alone. (Will be getting a roommate soon.)
- I miss all of you people lots when I'm not with you.
- I have a really anal issue of using only Conoco fuel.
- Don't have many hates, but I do hate injustice. It's probably my biggest issue.
- Noises people make with their mouths drive me ABSOLUTELY insane. It's a sick, sick issue, and Laura Ballard, Katy Pruitt, David AZ, & Ghezal could all attest to that. I send them e-mails all the time from work about how noisy my co-workers chew and how they are CONSTANTLY eating.
